Welcome to the first ever Kentucky Derby held by the racing-society - don't fret if you aren't part of the group, you can still participate. But join requests are automatically approved and entering will earn points for your horse, so it's highly recommended!

There will be a 5+ point bonus for your horse if you enter this race- considering it is our first.

When?

:bulletblack: Deadline for entries is Friday, May 16th.

The track is a sloppy dirt, at 10 furlongs.

How?

:bulletblack: Be sure to check the judging system below. Don't worry, it's not too complex.
:bulletblack: Make a comment on this journal with the link to your entry, any training image (not required), your horse's registered name, and your barn name.

Requirements
:bulletblack: You may only enter twice, with different horses. One entry per horse.
:bulletblack: You do not have to be a member or registered with the group, but it is recommended if you wish to use our points system.
:bulletblack: You do not have to be a member of HARPG or any similar group, but you must have some kind of fictional stable.
:bulletblack: Naturally colored (with exceptions for natural colors that don't apply in the breed standard) horses over 14hh only. No user-created breeds.
:bulletblack: The barest minimum you must do for your entry is some part of your horse pictured (legs, an eye), but low effort will greatly decrease your chances of winning the race. Backgrounds are not required.
:bulletblack: Training images and vet check images are not required. You may have only one training image.
:bulletblack: Training images can be headshots, fullbodies or sketches. Whatever you'd like.
:bulletblack: Tracing is allowed, linearts are not.
:bulletblack: Horse must be 3 years of age, and a thoroughbred! We will be holding other races for other horses coming soon!
:bulletblack: All art must be your own.

Grading system
The judging system will be largely RNG (random.org) based, with influence from effort and attention to the race conditions.
Your entry will be compared to the judging template below and your points will be tallied up and totaled to determine your place in the race.
Your judge for this race will be: JUDGE NEEDED!

:bulletblack: 1-30+ randomly generated points
:bulletblack: 1-10+ location
:bulletblack: 10+ (at least partial) jockey and tack
:bulletblack: 5+ training image
:bulletblack: 5+ fullbody entry
:bulletblack: 2+ headshot entry
The person with the most amount of entry points will win. If there is a tie, the winner will be rolled for with RNG.

I would enter if it was more Effort based and less RNG based. Say if someone did an AMAZING entry that featured 6 full bodies horses with a large background, and training images, etc... Yet they got the RNG score of 1. Yes someone who did a horrible image that had no background, was only a headshot, barely colored, and got a RNG score of 30. They would win. That's not fair at all.
